Alfonso Perez, founder of Twin City Supermarkets, immigrated to the United States in 1972. After working his way up to a leadership position in the fruit and vegetable produce industry, he began operating supermarkets in 1985. Mr. Perez and his family own and operate Twin City Supermarkets in Elizabeth and Plainfield, as well as the Pueblo Meat Market in Newark, New Jersey.
